Last month, BMO Global Asset Management opened the stock market to celebrate 10 years of ETF innovation, education and leadership. It was a landmark moment, underscoring just how much the industry has evolved over the past decade – and yet ETFs still have a long way to go.

In June 2019, the Canadian ETF industry reported assets under management at $181 billion. With six ETF providers introducing a total of nine new/conversion funds in June, flows covered a wide range of asset classes with no consistent theme. BMO reported AUM at $56.2 billion. The top-selling BMO ETFs were ZCPB, ZFS and ZLB.
